UTPUTS
When I/O-A or I/O-B are configured as outputs, they support a wide
range of devices including relay coils, logic inputs, LEDs, etc.
Output Notes
x Output B can be wired to control a power-off brake. Output A
cannot be used for brake control.
x Outputs can be turned on and off by the EtherCAT Master.
Note: When used as outputs, the I/O-A and I/O-B circuits are not
internally powered, therefore an external power supply is required. The
external supply should be 5-24VDC and capable of sourcing/sinking at
least 1mA, non-inductive. External power is generally supplied by a PLC,
control board, or separate dedicated supply. See Appendix D for complete
specifications.
