CHECK- Start of the sweep can be positioned to the right of the
center vertical graticule line by rotating the Horizontal
POSITION
control fully clockwise.
Step 7: Check Store Expansion Range
a. Set:
A SECIDIV
XI0 Magnifier
0.1 ms
Off (knob in)
b. Select 10
ps time markers from the time-mark generator.
c. Use the Horizontal
POSITION control to align the start of the A
Sweep with the 1 St vertical graticule line.
d. Set the STOREINON-STORE switch to STORE (button in).
e. Set the
XI0 Magnifier knob to On (knob out).
f. CHECK
- The time markers are one division apart.
Step 8: Check 4K to 1 K Display Compress
a. Set:
A SECIDIV
XI 0 Magnifier
1 Kl4K
50 ps
Off (knob in)
4K
b. Select 0.1 ms time markers from the time-mark generator and check
that the time markers are two divisions apart.
c. Rotate the
SECIDIV Variable control out of detent.
d. CHECK
- For two time markers per division over the center eight
divisions.
Step 9: Check Non-Store Sweep Length
a. Set:
SECIDIV Variable CAL detent
STOREINON-STORE
NON-STORE
(button
out).
b. Use the Horizontal
POSITION control to align the start of the A
Sweep with the 1 st vertical graticule line.
c. CHECK
- End of the sweep is to the right of the 11 th vertical grati-
cule line.
d. Disconnect the test equipment from the instrument.
Step 10: Check X Gain
a. Set:
