IMPORTANT
Flushthehydraulicsystemwheneverthereisaseverecomponent
failureorthesystemiscontaminated(forexample,theuidappears
milky,black,orcontainsmetalparticles).
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,engagetheparkingbrake,setthekey
switchtotheOFFpositionandremovethekeyfromthekeyswitch.
2.ReadandadheretotheinformationprovidedinGeneralPrecautionsfor
RemovingandInstallingtheHydraulicSystemComponents(page5–46).
CAUTION
Flushthehydraulicsystemwiththehydraulicuidaswarmas
possible,buttopreventadditionalsystemdamage,DoNotoperatea
machinewithcontaminatedhydraulicuidtowarmtheuidbefore
draining.
IMPORTANT
Followalllocalcodesandregulationswhenrecyclingordisposing
thehydraulicuidandlters.
3.Drainthehydraulicreservoirintoasuitablecontainer;refertothetraction
unitOperator’sManual.
4.Drainthehydraulicsystemhoses,tubes,liftcylinderandothercomponents
fromlowpointsinthesystem.
5.Removeandreplacethehydraulic-uidlter;refertothetractionunit
Operator’sManual.
6.Inspectandcleanhydraulicreservoir.Removethehydraulicreservoirf
necessary;refertoHydraulicReservoir(page5–57).
7.Connectallthehydraulichoses,tubes,andcomponentsthatwere
disconnectedwhiledrainingthesystem;refertoInstallingHydraulicHoses
andTubes(O-RingFaceSealFitting)(page5–8).
IMPORTANT
Usingotherhydraulicuidscoulddamagethehydraulicsystem.Use
