FieldPro6040machinesareequippedwithafuelevaporativecontrolsystem
designedtocollectandstoreevaporativeemissionsfromthefueltank.The
evaporatecontrolsystemusesacarboncanisterandaseriesofventhosesto
collecttheseevaporativeemissions.Thefueltankusesanon-ventedfuelcap.
Anelbowttingonthetopofthetankallowstankventingthroughthecarbon
canister.Fuelvaporsfromthefueltankareventedtothecanisterandconsumed
bytheenginewhentheengineisrunning.Thecarboncanisterismountedtoa
bracketbehindthefueltank.
Note:Ifthereisrestrictioninthecarboncanister,theelbowttingorthevent
hose,thefueltankmaydistortduetoventingissues.Ifthefueltankreturnsto
it’snormalshapewhenthefuelcapisremoved,restrictionintheevaporative
controlsystemislikely.
