Thediodeworksinconjunctionwiththewirelesshourmeterrelaytoseparatethe
2differentpowersuppliesusedtopowerthewirelesshourmeter.Thediodecan
beidentiedbyitsblackcoloranddiodesymbolontheendofthediodebody.
Themaximumcurrentallowedthroughthediodesis6amps.
Anadditionaldiodeisusedintheoptionallaserlevelkit.Thecoilofsolenoid
valveSVonthelasercontrolmanifoldincludesaninternalnon-replaceablediode.

TestingtheDiodeAssembly
1.ParkthemachineonalevelsurfaceandsetthekeyswitchtotheOFF
position.
2.Removethehood.
3.Locateandremovethediodefromthewireharness.Checkthediodeand
thediodeholderfordamageorcorrosionandcleanorrepairifnecessary.
4.Useamultimetertocheckforvoltagedropacrossthediodeterminals(diode
testsetting).Contactthemultimeterred(+)leadtodiodeterminalAandthe
black(−)leadtodiodeterminalB.Areadingoflessthan0.7voltsshouldbe
displayedonthemultimeter.

Usethetableprovidedandamultimeter(ohmssetting)tomeasurethe
resistanceacrossthediodeterminals.
