1.Allowtheenginetoreachoperatingtemperaturebeforecheckingoradjusting
theenginespeed.
2.Parkthemachineonalevelsurfaceandengagetheparkingbrake.
3.Withtheenginerunning,movethethrottlecontrollevertotheFAST(high
idle)position.
4.Usingatachometer,checkthattheengineisoperatingwithinthehighidle
specication;refertoEngineSpecications(page2–3).
5.Ifthehighidlespeedisincorrect,adjustthethrottlestopscrewonthe
governorassemblyasnecessary.
6.Ifnecessary,loosenthethrottlecableclampscrewandrepositionthethrottle
controlcableuntilthegovernorassemblymovesfromstoptostop.
7.MovethethrottlecontrollevertotheSLOW(idlespeed)position.
8.Usingatachometer,checkthattheengineisoperatingwithinthelowidle
specication;refertoEngineSpecications(page2–3).
