Toensureproperenginecooling,makesurethehydraulicuidcooler,grass
screen,oilcoolerandotherexternalsurfacesoftheenginearekeptclean
atalltimes.
IMPORTANT
TheenginethatpowerstheFieldPro6040isair–cooled.The
enginealsoincludesanoilcooler.Operatingtheenginewitha
blockedgrassscreen,apluggedordirtyblowerhousing,ordirtyor
otherwiseobstructedoilcoolermayresultinengineoverheating
andenginedamage.
CleaningtheEngineCoolingSystem
RefertoFigure9forthisprocedure.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,engagetheparkingbrake,setthekey
switchtotheOFFpositionandremovekeyfromtheswitch.
2.Cleanthehydraulicuidcoolerscreen.
3.Removethehydraulicuidcoolerassemblyandcleanthegrassscreen
andblowerhousingofdirtanddebrisifnecessary;refertoRemovingthe
HydraulicFluidCooler(page5–59).
4.Cleanthecoolingnsonbothcylinderheads.
5.Ifblowerhousingremovalisnecessaryforcoolingsystemcleaning,the
engineneedstoberemovedfromthemachine;refertoRemovingthe
Engine(page4–21).
