Filteringofaclosed−loophydraulicsystemafteramajorcomponentfailure
(e.g.piston(traction)pumporwheelmotor)isrequiredtopreventdebrisfrom
transmittingthroughoutthesystem.Ifalteringtoolisnotused(toensurethat
thesystemisclean),repeatfailuresandsubsequentdamagetootherhydraulic
componentsinthesystemwilloccur.T oeffectivelyremovecontaminationfrom
theclosed−looptractioncircuit,useofaT orobidirectionalhighowhydraulic
lterandhydraulichosekitisrecommended;refertoBidirectionalHighFlow
HydraulicFilterKit(page2–16).
IMPORTANT
Filtertheclosed-looptractioncircuitafterthefailedcomponenthas
beenreplaced.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,engagetheparkingbrake,setthekey
switchtotheOFFpositionandremovethekeyfromthekeyswitch.
2.ReadandadheretotheinformationprovidedinGeneralPrecautionsfor
RemovingandInstallingtheHydraulicSystemComponents(page5–46).
3.FortheRightSideTractionCircuit:
A.Removetherightrearwheel;refertoRemovingandInstallingtheRear
Wheels(page7–5).
B.Cleanthettingsandthehydraulictubeendsattherightsidewheel
motorAportandtherightsidetractionpumpAport,thendisconnectboth
endsofthehydraulictubeandremovethetubefromthemachine.
