Usecautionwhenperformingthisprocedure.Therearwheelswill
berotatingduringtheprocedure.
IMPORTANT
Whileengagingthetractioncircuit,monitortheindicatoronthe
highowhydrauliclter.Iftheindicatorshowsred,eitherreduce
thepressureonthetractioncontrolorreducetheenginespeedto
decreasethehydraulicowthroughthelter.
8.Withtheenginerunningatlow-idlespeed,slowlymovethetractioncontrol
tothereversedirectionforapiston(traction)pumpfailure,ortotheforward
directionforawheelmotorfailuretoallowowthroughthetractioncircuitand
high-owlter.Keepthetractioncircuitengagedfor5minuteswhilegradually
increasingthetractioncontrolpressureandtheenginespeed.Monitorthe
lterindicatortoensurethatthegreencolorisshowingduringtheoperation.
IMPORTANT
IfyouareusingalterthatisnottheTorohighowlterthatis
bi-directional,donotpressthetractioncontrolintheopposite
direction.Iftheowisreversedwhenusingalterthatisnot
bi-directional,unwantedmaterialfromthelterwillagainenterthe
tractioncircuit.
9.Whenusingahighowbi-directionallter,alternatelymovethetraction
controlinoppositedirectionswiththeenginerunningathigh-idlespeed.
Whilemonitoringthelterindicator,continuethisprocessfor5moreminutes.
10.SetthekeyswitchtotheOFFpositionandremovethekeyfromthekey
switch.
11.Removethehighowhydrauliclterandhydraulichosekitfromthemachine.
Flushcleanandinstallthepreciouslyremovedhydraulictube;referto
InstallingHydraulicHosesandTubes(O-RingFaceSealFitting)(page5–8).
12.Installtherearwheel;refertoRemovingandInstallingtheRearWheels
(page7–5).
13.Checkthehydraulicuidlevelinthetankandadjustifnecessary;referto
thetractionunitOperator’sManual.
14.Operatethemachineandcheckforleaksbeforereturningthemachineto
service.
