RefertoFigure47forthisprocedure.
1.Removethepumpdrivebelt;refertothetractionunitOperator’sManual.
2.Removethebeltshield.
3.Loosenthesetscrewsandremovethehydraulicpumppulley.Retrievethe
keyfromthepumpshaft.
4.Removethefastenerssecuringthetractioncontrolrodtothepumparm.
5.Drainthehydraulicreservoir;refertothetractionunitOperator’sManual.
6.ReadandadheretotheinformationprovidedinGeneralPrecautionsfor
RemovingandInstallingtheHydraulicSystemComponents(page5–46).
7.Cleantheareaaroundthehydraulichoseandttingconnectionsthen
disconnectorremovethehydraulichosesfromthepistonpump(andthegear
pumpforleftsidepumpremoval).Caporplugthedisconnectedhydraulic
hosesandttingstopreventhydraulicsystemcontamination.
8.Supportthepumpassemblyandremovethefastenerssecuringthepump
assemblytothemachine.Carefullyremovethepumpassemblyfromthe
machine.
9.Ifnecessary,separatethegearpumpfromtheleftsidepistonpump.Locate
anddiscardtheO-ringbetweenthepumps.
10.Ifnecessary,removethepumparmfromthepump.
11.Ifnecessary,removethehydraulicttingsfromthepump.Recordthe
locationsandorientationsofthettingsforassemblypurposes.
12.RemoveanddiscardalltheO-ringsfromthehydraulictubes,andttings
thatweredisconnectedorremoved.

1.LubricatenewO-ringsandplacethemontothettings.Ifpreviously
removed,installthettingsintothepumpports.Tightenthehydraulicttings
tothetorquevaluesspeciedinInstallingtheHydraulicFittings(SAEStraight
ThreadO-RingFittings)(page5–10).
2.Ifthegearpumpwasremovedfromtheleftsidepistonpump:
A.ApplycleanpetroleumjellyorlightgreasetoanewO-ringandposition
theO-ringontothegearpumpange.
B.Alignthegearpumpshaftandslidethegearpumpintothetractionpump
coupler.
C.Securethegearpumptothepistonpumpwiththepreviouslyremoved
fasteners.
3.Ifpreviouslyremoved,installthepumparmtothepump.
4.Carefullytthepumpassemblyintotheframeandsecurethepumptothe
machinewiththepreviouslyremovedfasteners.
5.Removethecapsandplugsfromthehydraulicttingsandhydraulichoses
theninstallthehydraulichoses;refertoInstallingHydraulicHosesandTubes
(O-RingFaceSealFitting)(page5–8).
Note:Installthelowerhydraulictubesrst,thenllthepistonpumphousing
withcleanhydraulicuidbeforeinstallingtheremaininghydraulictubes.
6.Securethetractioncontrolrodtothepumparmwiththepreviouslyremoved
fasteners.
