4.Loosenthefour(4)capscrewsthatsecurepumpassembly.
5.Removepumpfromviseandremovefasteners.
6.Supportthepumpassemblyandgentlytapthepumphousingwithasoft
facehammertoloosenthepumpsection.Becarefultonotdroppartsor
disengagethegearmesh.
IMPORTANT
Marktherelativepositionsofthegearteethtothethrustplatesso
theycanbeassembledinthesameposition.Beforeremovingthe
gearset,applymarkingdyetomatingteethtoretain”timing”.Pump
efciencymaybeaffectediftheteetharenotinstalledinthesame
positionduringassembly.Donottouchthegearsurfacesasresidue
onhandsmaybecorrosivetogearnish.
7.Removethethrustplates,sealsandgearsfromthepumpsection.
IMPORTANT
Makesuretonotdamagethefrontcovercounterborewhen
removingthesealfromthecover.
8.Carefullyremovetheretainingringandshaftsealfromthefrontcover.
Discardtheremovedseal.
9.Cleanallparts.Checkallcomponentsforburrs,scoring,nicksandother
damage.
10.Replacetheentirepumpassemblyifanypumpcomponentsareexcessively
wornorscored.
