assemblyfromthebarrelbycarefullytwistingandpullingontheshaft.

Donotclampvisejawsagainsttheshaftsurface.Clamponthe
clevisONLY .
5.Mounttheshaftsecurelyinavisebyclampingontheclevisoftheshaft.
Removethelocknutfromtherod.Slidethepistonandheadofftheshaft.
6.Removetheseals,wearring,backupring,andO-ringsfromthepistonand
head.

1.Makesureallcylindercomponentsarecleanbeforeassembly.
Note:Cleananydebrisorcorrosionfromtheendofthebarrel.
2.CoatthenewO-rings,seals,wearring,andback−upringwithcleanhydraulic
uid.
A.Installthewearringandpistonsealtotheoutsideofthepiston.
B.InstalltheO-ringtotheinnerboreofthepiston.
C.InstalltheO-ring,backupring,andthesealstothecylinderhead.
IMPORTANT
Donotclampvisejawsagainsttheshaftsurface.Clamponthe
clevisONLY .
3.Mounttheshaftsecurelyinavisebyclampingontheclevisoftheshaft.
A.Coattheshaftwithalightcoatofcleanhydraulicuid.
B.Carefullyslidetheheadassemblyandthenthepistonassemblyontothe
shaft.Installthelocknutontotherodandtightento54N·m(40ft−lb).
C.Removetheshaftassemblyfromthevise.
4.Coatallinternalpartswithalightcoatofcleanhydraulicuid.Slidethe
piston/shaft/headassemblyintothebarrelbeingcarefultonotdamagethe
seals.
IMPORTANT
Preventdamagewhenclampingthecylinder’sbarrelintoavise;
clampontheclevisonly.
5.Mountthecylinderinavisewithsoftjaws.Securetheheadinthebarrel:
