3.Cleanthemachinefullybeforeyoudisconnectordisassemblethehydraulic

4.Topreventhydraulicsystemcontamination,putmetalcapsorplugsonany

hydraulictest.Enginespeedcanaffecttheaccuracyofthetestreadings.

RPMisaboveorbelowthespeciedspeedduringatest,youwillneedto
adjusttheexpectedhydraulicperformanceparameters(aprox.3%per100
enginerpmatfullthrottle)
IMPORTANT
HydrauliccomponentoutputvolumerelatesdirectlytoengineRPM.
Forevery100enginerpmthefollowingcomponentoutputvolumes
willchangebythevolumelisted.
•TractionPumps:100engineRPM=1.6liters(54ounces)ofhydraulic
uiddisplacedperminute
•GearPump:100engineRPM=0.7liters(23ounces)ofhydraulicuid
displacedperminute.
6.Whenyouuseahydraulictester(pressureandow),ensurethattheinletand
outlethosesareproperlyconnectedandnotreversedtopreventdamaging
thehydraulictesterorcomponents.
7.Whenyouuseahydraulictester(pressureandow),openthetesterload
valvefullybeforeyoustarttheenginetoreducethepossibilityofdamaging
thecomponents.
8.Installthehydraulicttingsbyhandandensurethattheyarenot
cross-threadedbeforeyoutightenthemwithawrench.
9.Positionanytesthosesawayfrompartsthatmaymoveduringthetest
procedure.
10.Afteryouconnectthetestequipment,checkthehydraulic-uidlevelinthe
hydraulicreservoirandensurethattheuidleveliscorrect.
11.Performallthehydraulictestswiththehydraulicuidatnormaloperating
temperature.
12.Recordtheresultsofallhydraulictestsperformed.
