6.4.5 Setting range correction
The values of the background peak / text peak in the range correction can be switched to “varied” or
“fixed” in the following codes.
If they are fixed, the range correction is performed with standard values.
The values of the background peak affect the reproduction of the background density and the values of
the text peak affect that of the text density.

Make a test copy and compare the image obtained with the current settings; if necessary, make
adjustment using the following procedure.

Procedure is same as that of P.6-25 "6.4.2 Density adjustment".
6.4.6 Adjustment of smudged/faint text
The smudged/faint text can be set at the following codes.

When the value decreases, the
smudged text is improved.
Acceptable values: 0 to 4 (Default: 2)
Note:
Remember the image
specifications and life span of
the replacing parts may not
meet the standard when the
setting value is changed from
the default value.
