4.4.2 Get Status Information
The features in the Status menu allow access to the following information: slant (or absolute) range, vertical
depth, receiver time, battery remaining, memory used, vertical tilt, number of detections stored, temperature,
and firmware version. NOTE: From the HR2 (only), you can also get the Channel Status option #0 (signal,
noise). The steps below will walk you through the process of getting this status information.
STEP 1
Select Status from the list, or press the “1” button on the keypad to display the list of status options
(on right).
The down-arrow just above
“Select” indicates the list
continues off the screen. Use
the arrow keys to move up and
down the list.
STEP 2
Select “Get Health” first to establish a communication link. This first
communication can take longer as the VR100-200 and the receiver
must establish the link. Select “Get Health” to learn about battery
remaining (range), memory used (range), and tilt (range).
The health information listed includes (from top to bottom):
Slant range
range of battery capacity remaining
range of memory amount used
range of tilt of receiver (VR2AR or Tx), tilt angle only (HR2)
where 0° is vertical
temperature (for HR2 only)
Press the MENU button to return to the screen in Step 1.
* For best battery life remaining accuracy, you should ensure to connect to VUE anytime the battery
is replaced (not applicable to the HR2, see your receiver manual for details).
STEP 3
Select “Get Range”. Getting a response to a “Get Range” command
after communication is established is faster.
The range information listed includes (from top to bottom):
slant range
horizontal range (VR2AR only)
depth range (VR2AR only)
Press the MENU button to return to the screen in Step 1.
