STEP 5
Use the arrow buttons to move the cursor until it covers the desired timing
profile. The profile names are shown based on which profile is highlighted by
the cursor. Descriptions of the profiles are listed below.
1. Don’t Change – settings will remain as they are
2. Synctag – VR2AR/VR2Tx transmits randomly between 540 to 660 seconds; nominal is 600 seconds, or
10 minutes. HR2 PPM is 270 to 330 seconds; nominal is 300 seconds or 5 minutes. HR is 25 to 35
seconds; nominal is 20 seconds.
3. RangeTestRand – VR2AR/VR2Tx transmits randomly between 60 to 120 seconds; nominal is 90 seconds.
HR2 PPM is 25 to 35 seconds; nominal is 30 seconds. HR is 4 to 6 seconds; nominal is 5 seconds.
4. RangeTestFixed – VR2AR/VR2Tx transmits at a fixed rate of 90 seconds. HR2 PPM is 30 seconds, HR is
5 seconds.
5. Off – no ID code is transmitted
Press the right selection button to select the highlighted timing profile
as the new level and to move to the next screen in the setup process.
STEP 6
Verify that the power level and profile are both as desired. Select “Send” to
send the new settings to the receiver, or “cancel” to return without making
changes.
STEP 7 (or steps 8 and 9 for HR2 first)
Use the MENU button to return to the main transponding screen.
STEP 8 (HR2 only)
Select “Read ID…” (#3) to read the sync tag ID(s) from the HR2. Options are
PPM+HR, PPM Only, and HR Only.
STEP 9 (HR2 only)
Select “Transmissions” (#4) to read sync tag Transmissions. Options are
Total Transmits, Since Offload, and Since Marking.
