11.4 Maintenance of UPS and Options
UPS and the options need common maintenance:
1. Keep good maintenance record. Keeping good maintenance record facilitates failure treatment.
2. Keep the surrounding clean, to prevent dust and moisture entering the UPS.
3. Maintain appropriate ambient temperature of 20 °C to 25 °C for battery.
NOTE: Very low temperature will reduce the battery capacity and if it is too high the battery life will reduce.
4. Check the wiring regularly for any damage.
5. Check and tighten all the screws, and tighten all the screws periodically, at least once a year.
6. Check regularly for any abnormality in the upstream or downstream switch to ensure cutting off the input or
output when the current is too large.
7. Regularly check the status of the LED light on the built in lightning protection board of the UPS. If the indicator
light is abnormally off, replace the lightning protection board (see Power switch on page101 for the position of
the lightning protection board).
Maintenance staff should be aware of the typical ambient conditions where UPS is working to detect the unusual ambient
conditions the setting of UPS touch screen should be known as well.
