Guide
Symptom: HC-100 not recognized when connected to
PC
Many issues can affect HC-100 connectivity to the PC.
1. Issue with Windows Mobile Device Center (WMDC) in
Windows 10 (particularly with Windows 10 Creators
Update)
• WMDC will not function by default in Windows
10. Instructions on enabling WMDC are on our
website (www.turnvalves.com
). Click on “Sup-
port”, then click on “Software Downloads” for
information.
2. Problem with Windows Mobile Device Center
• Check to make sure Windows Mobile Device Cen-
ter is installed
i. Uninstall/remove Windows Mobile Device
Center through the Control Panel.
ii. Re-install Windows Mobile Device Center from
the Microsoft website. (32 and 64 bit installers
can be found in C:\Program Files\Vitals Desk-
top\wm.
• Firewall settings may prevent drivers from loading
