The electric motors supplied on Wood-Mizer sawmills carry a rating assigned by the motor manufacturer
for the continuous duty operation of the motor, potentially, 24 hours per day, day after day. This rating is
useful in sizing motors for use in applications like blowers for heating and ventilation that are never cycled
off except for system maintenance.

1. The noise level measurement was taken in accordance with PN-EN ISO 3746 Standard.
The noise exposure level given above concerns an 8-hour work day.
2.The measured values refer to emission levels, not necessarily to noise levels in the workplace.
Although there is a relation between emission levels and exposure levels, it is not possible to
determine with certainty if preventives are needed or are not needed. The factors affecting a current
level of noise exposure during work are inter alia room characteristics and characteristics of other
noise sources, e.g. number of machines and machining operations nearby. Also, the permissible
exposure level value may vary depending on country. This information enables the machine’s user to
better identify hazards and a risk.
