Parameter Description Setting range Default Menu path
Min. dwell time Minimum dwell time within the impedance
zone (characteristic). This timer is essential
to enable the device to distinguish between
a power swing and a system fault. If the
measured impedance crosses the first
blinder before this timer has expired, the
event will be declared as a system fault and
not as power swing. This has the
consequence that the function is blocked
until the impedance has left the MHO circle
again.

Max. dwell time Maximum dwell time within the impedance
zone (characteristic). (Above this time the
slip frequency is assumed to be implausibly
low.)

Max.Num.Pole
Slips
Maximum number of pole slips that are
accepted, i. e. above this number a trip
decision is made. This counter is reset
always after the duration »Reset Time« if
there has not been a new pole slip during
this time.

Reset Time Counting of pole slip events is reset after
this time. (The timer is started with every
detected event.) Note that this time should
be set equal or greater than the pole slip
cycle time.
