FRONT WHEEL INSPECTION
1.Inspect:
●
Front wheel axle
(by rolling it on a flat surface)
Bends
→
Replace.
WARNING
Do not attempt to straighten a bent axle.
2.Inspect:
●
Front tire
Wear/damage
→
Replace.
Refer to the “TIRE INSPECTION” section in
CHAPTER 3.
●
Front wheel
Refer to the “WHEEL INSPECTION” section
in CHAPTER 3.
3.Check:
●
Spokes
Bends/damage
→
Replace.
Loose spokes
→
Retighten.
Turn the wheel and tap the spokes with a
screwdriver.
NOTE:
A tight spoke will emit a clear, ringing tone; a
loose spoke will sound flat.
4.Tighten:
●
Loose spokes
●
Nipple
NOTE:
Check the front wheel runout after tightening
the spokes.
Wheel axle bending limit:
0.25 mm
