INSPECTION/BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH ADJUSTMENT
4.Adjust:

Brake pedal free play

Adjustment steps:

Turn the adjuster

in or out until the speci-
fied free play is obtained.
CAUTION:
Make sure that the brake does not drag
after adjusting it.

Brake light switch
Refer to the “BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH
ADJUSTMENT” section.
Turning in Free play is decreased.
Turning out Free play is increased.
BRAKE SHOE INSPECTION
1.Operate the brake pedal.
2.Inspect:
●
Brake shoes
Wear indicator

reaches the wear limit line

Replace the brake shoes as a set.
Refer to the “REAR WHEEL AND REAR
BRAKE” section in CHAPTER 6.
BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH ADJUSTMENT

Hold the main body

of the switch with your
hand so that it does not rotate, and turn the
adjuster

in or out until the proper opera-
tion timing is obtained.

Turning out Brake light comes on slow.
