BATTERY INSPECTION
●
Specific gravity readings after a long, slow
charge indicate that one cell is charged lower
than the rest.
●
Warpage or buckling of plates or insulators is
evident.

7.Connect:
●
Breather hose (battery)
Be sure the hose is properly attached and
routed.
CAUTION:
When inspecting the battery, be sure the
breather pipe is routed correctly. If the
breather pipe touches the frame or exits in
such a way as to cause battery electrolyte
or gas to exit onto the frame, structural and
cosmetic damage to the motorcycle can
occur.
8.Inspect:

Battery terminals
Dirty
→
Clean with a wire brush.
Poor connection
→
Correct.

OTE:
After cleaning the terminals, apply a light coat
of grease.

CAUTION:
First, connect the positive lead
