Replacement Procedures for the Printer

Platen Drive Motor - Installation
Loctite #242 Thread Lock is required for this procedure.
Step 1. Apply a bead of thread lock to the two screws and secure the dampener to
the motor; tighten screws to 4 in-lbs.
Important • Make sure to identify which motor—16-tooth or 20-tooth—is in place so
the correct replacement belt is used. To identify the motor, count the teeth on the
drive gear.
Step 2. Position the new belt around the drive pulley.
