Therearethefollowingvetypesofupstreambandwidths:
lFixedbandwidth(FBW)
lAssuredbandwidth(ABW)
lNon-assuredbandwidth
lBest-effortbandwidth
lMaximumbandwidth(MBW)
Theprioritiesofxedbandwidth,assuredbandwidth,non-assuredbandwidth,best-effort
bandwidth,andmaximumbandwidthareindescendingorder.
AT-CONTbandwidthprolemaycontainsoneormultipletypesofbandwidths.Fivetypes
ofT-CONTbandwidthprolesareasfollows:
lFixedbandwidth(type1)
Type1includesonlyxedbandwidth.Type1hasxedbandwidthandtimeslot.Itis
applicabletotheservicethatissensitivetodelayandjitterandhasxedorstableow
rate,suchasthevoiceservice.
lAssuredbandwidth(type2)
Type2includesonlyassuredbandwidth.Type2hasxedbandwidthbutnottimeslot.
Itisapplicabletotheservicethatisinsensitivetodelayandjitterandhaslimitedow
rate,suchasthevideoondemand(VOD)service.
lAssuredandnon-assuredbandwidths(type3)
Type3includesassuredandnon-assuredbandwidths.Ithastheassuredminimum
bandwidthandsharestheexcessbandwidthdynamically.Meanwhile,itisconstrained
bythemaximumbandwidth.Itisapplicabletotheservicethatrequiresservice
assurancebuthasalargevolumeofowburst,suchasthesubscriptiondownload
service.
