3.6 Setting the Configuration Chapter 3: Configuration
108 493-0736-11 (6-2)
Sub-zero Signals
When Signal starts to drop below zero, the value of IPC is stored. As long as
Signal is negative (or zero), no pulses are generated by the block, but IPC
decreases with each passing of a gradation mark.
When Signal turns positive again, no pulses are generated until IPC reaches the
value stored.
Val ue increases with positive signals and decreases with negative signals.
DeadBand
It is possible to make the block disregard Signals less than a user defined value by
setting the parameter DeadBand. The range of Signal is then restricted to
DeadBand
|Signal| 1.00
PositiveOnly
By setting the parameter PositiveOnly to On, the range is restricted to
0.0 Signal 1.00
IPC and Val ue remain unchanged as long as Signal is less than or equal to zero.
When Signal rises above zero again, both IPC and Va lue start to increase.
PositiveOnly and DeadBand
The parameters PositiveOnly and DeadBand can be combined. Then the range is
restricted to
