16. Raise the Movable Plate until the Adaptor
on the end of the Sample Probe Motor’s
Lead-Screw enters the Osmometer
Module Top Plate and the Adapter’s
threads are extending beyond the top of
the plate. Secure, but do not fully tight-
en, the Adapter’s threads with the hex nut
and washers.
17. Partially thread the two set-screws into
the sides of the Osmometer Module Top
Plate. Manually raise the Movable Plate
on which the Sample Probe Motor is
mounted until the Lead-Screw’s Adapter
is properly positioned inside the
Osmometer Module Top Plate. Hold the
Movable Plate and tighten the two set-
screws.
18. Tighten the hex nut used to secure the
Adapter’s threads. If the Sample Probe
Motor’s Lead-Screw turns as the nut is
being tightened, then the two sets-crews
are not tight enough.
19. Manually raise and lower the Movable
Plate several times in order to verify that
there is no binding, etc.
20. Secure the Sample Probe Motor’s Wire
Leads with the two Cable Clamps and the
three Cable Clips shown in Figure 6. Be
sure that there is a service loop between
the body of the motor and the first Cable
Clamp (
Figure 10).
21. Slide the Osmometer Module into the
instrument and mount the Osmometer
Module Mounting Bracket to the Chassis
with the four socket head cap screws and
washers.
22. Slide the Power Supply & Controls
Assembly into the Base Assembly.
23. Secure the Power Supply & Controls
Assembly to the rear of the Chassis with
the two screws.
24. Rest the instrument on its back side.
Secure the Power Supply & Controls
Assembly to the bottom of the Chassis
with the two screws. Return the instru-
ment to the upright position.
25. Pair the following Connectors on the
Cooling System Harness with their mat-
ing Connectors: A1, A2, A3 & A4.
26. Attach the following Connectors on the
Motor/Sensor Cable Harness to their cor-
responding Connectors: B1, B2, B3, B4,
B6, B7, B8, B9 & B10.
27. Plug the C10 and C11 Connectors into
the Control PCB.
28. Affix the C3G Ring Terminal to the side
of the Power Supply & Controls
Assembly using a screw. Plug the C3
