Once FlexScan is paired to FOCIS Flex with Bluetooth enabled on both units, perform the following steps.
On FOCIS Flex:
• If testing an optical ber connector, slide the ferrule of the optical ber into the adapter tip installed on the FOCIS
Flex inspection port. Use caution not to contaminate the end-face of the ber connector.
• If testing an optical ber connector mounted in a bulkhead adapter, slide the adapter tip into the bulkhead
adapter.
• You will see a Live ber-end image appears on the FOCIS Flex display.
• Capture the displayed image by pressing the Capture button. (Refer to section “FOCIS Flex Inspection Probe
Overview” on page 48).
• Once captured, the ber end-face image is analyzed by the FOCIS Flex.
• Once analysis is done, inspection results will appear on the FOCIS Flex display.
• Simultaneously, FOCIS Flex will be sending results to the FlexScan paired to it.
