6.6 Main pump (Item 5)
The main pump is a very important component for the machine’s
function as it directly affects the cleaning result. If you suspect a
problem or a reduction in function for this component, replace it
immediately.
6.6.1 Checking the main pump (5.1)
Check the mounting for the pump so that it is secure.
Dosing with strong chemicals can damage the O-rings in the pump,
causing leakage. Careless handling of the pump during repairs can
damage the ceramic shaft seal, resulting in leakage.

6.7 Dosing system (Item 6)
The following inspection measures are to ensure the proper
operation of the dosing system. Errors may result in inadequate/no
cleaning and/or lime deposits.
6.7.1 Checking hoses (6.1)
The transport hoses can harden and become brittle depending on
which chemicals are used.
Check and replace the hoses on a regular basis to avoid leakages
occurring.
6.7.2 Checking the dosage amount (6.2)
Check the dosage amount to ensure that the correct amount is

necessary according to the instructions.
WARNING!
The detergent in the container may be corrosive.
Wear safety glasses and protective gloves.
• Pour 100 ml of agent into a measuring glass and push the
suction hose down into it. Check that the suction hose and
dosing pump are full of agent. Run a program with dosing. Lift
up the suction hose and check that the correct amount has
been used and that agent is not forced back when the pump
stops. The amount used must conform to the manufacturer’s
recommendations.
• If dosing is incorrect on a machine with dosing via the steam
generator, the back valve of the steam generator must be
inspected.
• Regarding the dosage amounts, see the container for the
respective agent.
• The hose between the dosing pump and the container must
be checked yearly and replaced every other year.
