2. If using gap media, ensure you are not printing on the liner.
If you are using gap media, ensure your label design does not bleed over the label edge onto
the liner.
Caution: Use caution when printing full-bleed on gap media. Ink will not dry on the liner
material and may be deposited on hands, clothing, or other labels when labels are handled.
3. Only use approved media.
Make sure that you are using material types and label rolls that are approved by QuickLabel.
QuickLabel media is designed for optimal printing quality and printer compatibility.
4. Replace the ink cartridge.
Replace the ink cartridge with a new one. See “Replacing the Ink Cartridge” on page 25.
Label Media Tracking Issues
If your label media is not tracking straight through the printer, use the following checklist to correct
the problem.
Note: After each step, reprint your labels. If the problem continues, proceed to the next step.
1. Ensure the adjustable media guide is positioned correctly.
Ensure the adjustable media guide is against the edge of the media. See “Installing the Media
Roll” on page 30.
2. Reload label media.
Repeat the media loading processes. See “Installing the Media Roll” on page 30.
3. Only use media rolls supplied by QuickLabel.
Make sure that you are using a media roll supplied by QuickLabel.
Labels Not Printing
If your labels do not print, use the following checklist to correct the problem.
Note: After each step, reprint your labels. If the problem continues, proceed to the next step.
1. Ensure the media and printer are in Ready mode.
Check the display to ensure the media and printer are in Ready mode.
2. Check the USB connection.
Check the USB cable connections to ensure they are connected properly.
3. Ensure you are printing to the QuickLabel QL-E100 printer.
Check your label design application to ensure you are printing to the QuickLabel QL-E100.
4. Check the printer driver settings.
Check the printer driver settings to ensure they are configured correctly. See “Setting up
Printer Driver Preferences” on page 39.
5. Restart the printer.
Turn the printer power off. Wait ten seconds. Then turn the printer power on again.
