Status and Error Messages
Status and error messages are shown on the touchscreen. These messages provide information
about the media and printer.
Media Status and Error Messages
Messages about the media status will be shown on the touchscreen. These messages will show
the current state of the label media.
Printer Status Messages
Messages about the printer status will be shown on the touchscreen. These messages will show
the current state of the printer.
Message Description
No Labels Available The labels were not loaded properly. See “Installing
the Media Roll” on page 30.
Ready The media is in the Ready state. It is ready to be used
in a print job.
Error An error occurred. Refer to the error details.
Label Roll Near Empty The label roll is almost empty. Make sure you have a
new label roll to replace it.
Ink Cartridge Unit Error The ink cartridge carriage is not working as expected.
Remove the ink cartridge and then reinstall it. See
“Replacing the Ink Cartridge” on page 25.
Service Module Drive Error Open the front and upper lids on the printer. Rotate the
cutter unit downward to access the media path.
Examine the media path and printer interior to ensure
there are no obstructions. Return the cutter to the
normal position, close the lids, and then restart the
printer.
Label Jam There is a label media jam. See “Resolving Media
Jams” on page 76.
Label Sensor Error Make sure the correct media type sensor is selected in
the printer driver. See “Setting up Label Options” on
page 39.
Message Description
Not Ready The printer is booting. Wait for the printer to fully start
up.
Ready The printer is in the Ready state. It is ready to receive
a print job.
