u Cell - Displays storm cells using cell data obtained from a
WX-500 stormscope. Each lightning strike is displayed as
a yellow ‘+’ sign, and clumps of strikes indicate the cell
and cell intensity.
u Display Off - Turns display of lightning information off.
n Clear Strikes—Removes current lightning symbols to allow
for the refresh of lightning data when using a onboard
lightning sensor. Does not remove Datalink lightning.
n WX Rpts—Controls the type of Datalink weather information
displayed on the map, as follows:
u All—Displays graphical METARs, AIRMETs, and
SIGMETs.
u METARS—Displays graphical METARs only.
u AIRMET—Displays graphical AIRMETs only.
u SIGMET—Displays graphical SIGMETs only.
u DSPLY OFF—Turns off display of all weather
information.

2) Map Functions—Controls basic look of the map in terms of
orientation, number of elements, and base map.
n View—Orients the map for either Track/Heading Up or North
Up. FORWARD and CENTER views are oriented with Track/
Heading Up. North Up orients the map to true North, with the
ownship symbol rotated to show track/heading.
u Forward - 12 view with airplanes present position
displayed at the bottom. Current heading (or track) is
displayed at the top of the map.
u Center - 360° view with airplane’s present position
displayed at the center of the compass range ring with
current heading (or track) at the top of map.
u North up - 360° view with airplane’s present position
displayed at the center, and north is always at the top of
the map.
