2.1 Installation requirements
Environment conditions
Table below summarizes the phy sical environm ent in which the DP2K- 23B digital projector may be s afely oper ated or stored.

Let the projector acclimatize after unpacking. N eglecting this m ay result in a startup failure of the

cessor Unit.
Cooling requirements
The projector is fan cooled and m ust be ins talled with sufficient space aroundthe projector head, minimum 20 cm (8 inch) to ensure
sufficient air flow. It should be used in an area where the ambient temperature, as measured at the projectorair inlet , does not
exceed +35°C (+95°F).
The installation o f an exhaust system is MANDATORY. The installed exhaust blower must remove an air volume of minimum 10
m
3
/min (350 CFM) measured a t the exhaust output of the projector.
Main Power requirements
The DP2K-23B operates from a nominal m ono phase pow er net with a separate earth gro und PE. The DP2K-23B requ ires 200- 240
VAC, 50-60Hz, 30A a t 200 VAC with a se parate ear th ground PE.
The power c ord required to c onnect the projector with the power net is not delivered with the projector. It is the responsibility of the
customer to provide the correct type of power cord. The cross-sectional area of the c onductors in the power supply cord shall not
be less than 4 mm ² or 10 AWG, minimum 300V.
To protect operating personnel, the National Electrical M anufact
urers Association (NEMA) recommends that the instrument panel
and cabinet be grounded. In no event shall this projector be operated without an adequate cabinet ground connection.
The AC supply m ust be installed by a qualified e lectrician in conformance to local codes . Hardwa re, wire sizes and conduit types
must c omply w ith local c odes.
A readily accessible disconnect device s hall be incorporated externally to the equipment for removal of the power to the equipment
mains terminals.
The building installation m ust be provided with a circuit breaker o f max. 40A to protect the com plete unit.

UPS requirements
The Uninterruptible Power S upply (UPS), also known as a Continuous Power Supply (CPS), mus t have an output v oltage of 200-
240V at 50-60Hz and mu st be c apable of delivering an output current of 5,5 amperes.
The connection between the UPS unit and the U PS inlet of the projector must be done with a certified AC p ower supply cord of
minimum 0,75 m m² or 1 8 AWG and minimum 300V.
CAUTION: The 200–240V power outlet (UPS
OUTLET) of the proje c t or may not be used to prov ide the UPS
unit with power! The UPS OUTLET of the projector may only be used for connection to t he UPS INLET of the
projector.
The DP2K-23B does not have a built in UPS unit.
Exhaust outlet for external fan
The exhaus t outlet has an output voltage of 200–240V at 50–60 Hz ; switched and maxim um 3 amperes is allowed.
The connection between the exhaust outlet and the external blower must be done with a certified AC power supply co rd of minimum
0,75 m m² or 18 AWG and minimum 300V.
