Description
BRAKES
The brakes
on
the
main
landing
gear
wheels
are operated
by applying toe pressure to
the
rudder pedals.
CAUTJON
Continuous brake application of
either
the
pilot's
or
copilot's
brake. pedals
in
conjunction
whh
an
overriding
pumping
action
from
the
op-
posite brake
pedals could
result
in
the
loss of
braking action
on
the
side
which
continuous
pressure is being applied.
The parking brake
push-pull
C:ontrol is located
on
the
sub-
panel
(right
subpanel - C33, E33;
left
subpanel - F33).
To
set
the parking brakes, depress both toe pedals
until
firm.
then
pul! contro! out. Push
the
control
in
to release
the
brakes.
CAUTION
The parking brake should
be
left
oft and
wheei
chocks
installed
if
the
airplane is to be
left
unattended. Changes
in
ambient
temperature
can cause
the
brakes to release or to exert
excessive pressures.
MANUAL
EXTENSION
The landing gear
can
be
manually
extended by operating a
handcrank
at
the
rear
of
the
front
seats. This procedure
is
described
in
the
EMERGENCY PROCEDURES section.
WARNING HORN
With
the
landing
gear retracted,
if
the
throttle
is
retarded
below
approximately
12
in. Hg
manifold
pressure, a
warninE1 horn
will
sound
intermittently.
