Open the cylinder
shutoff
valve
slowly
to
pre-
vent damage to the system.
3.
Close
the
cylinder
shutoff
valve and
the
console panel
shutoff
valve.
4.
Slide
the
pilot's
or
copilot's seat
aft
until
the
filler
valve
is
clear._
then
remove
the
cap from the
filler
valve and
attach the recharging outlet.
Open valve
on
supply
bottle slowly.
5.
Open the cylinder
shutoff
valve and
slowly
fill
the
cylinder to
1850
±
50
psi
at
a temperature of 70°F. This
pressure may be increased an additional
3.5
psi
for
each degree of increase in temperature. Similarly,
for
each degree of
drop
in temperature, reduce
the
cylinder pressure
3.5
psi.
6.
Close
the
cylinder
shutoff
valve, close
the
supply bottle
valve,
remove the recharging outlet. and replace
the
filler
valve cap.
7.
Slowly
·open the cylinder
shutoff
valve
to
prepare
the
system
for
use.
8.
Reinstall the access panel and slide
the
pilofs
seat for-
ward
to its original position.
9.
The console panel
shutoff
valve should remain closed
until
the
system is used.
OXYGEN CYUNDER
FirETESTING
The oxygen cylinders. (light
weight
cylinders. stamped
"3HT"
on the plate on the side}
must
be hydrostatically
tested every
three
years and
the
test date stamped on
the
8-26
August
1982
