9.3 Using the compensation plate
When sewing a buttonhole in difficult materials, it is recommended to use the compensation plate for
buttonholes (optional accessory). It can be used along with the Buttonhole foot No. 3A.
> Insert the compensation plate carefully from the side.
9.4 Marking buttonholes
> For the buttonholes to be sewn manually, mark the position and the length on the fabric using chalk or a
water-soluble pen.
> For the buttonholes to be sewn automatically, mark the complete length of 1 buttonhole on the fabric
using chalk or a water-soluble pen. For any subsequent buttonholes mark the starting point.
