Removing the primary torque gear and the free wheel
– Remove flange nut 1.
NOTE: THERE ARE FLANGE NUTS WITH LEFT-HAND AND
RIGHT-HAND THREADS. THE FLANGE NUTS BEARING THE
CAPTION “LEFT” HAVE A LEFT-HAND THREAD. THOSE
WITH NO INSCRIPTION HAVE A RIGHT-HAND THREAD.
– Pull out from the crankcase the oil pump shaft complete with
the roller, inner rotor 3 and outer rotor 4.
– Remove the two opposed screws 5.
– Fit the puller and remove the primary torque gear from the
crankshaft.
– Loosen the crankshaft fixing screw.
– Unscrew all thirteen crankcase screws.
