Function Positioning unit –
Specifying basic settings
The positioning unit enables the motorized positioning of sensors (e.g. CLSPro600 line
and contrast sensor) or tools across the web running direction.
The target position and positioning speed can be set separately for each sensor slide.
There are two ways to move the sensor slides:
■ Specifying a target position.
After power up a reference run is carried out first. Then the sensor slides move to
the specified target positions. As soon as the target position is reached, the bit10
(target position reached) in the EkrOut_POS unit object is set (see EkrOut_POS unit,
page 42).
■ Continuous writing of a positioning speed
By writing a speed value, the sensor slides move until a timeout (for safety reasons
< 100 ms) has expired or a 0 is written. Therefore, a speed value must be written
again and again as long as the sensor slides are to travel.
