2 Design and Function
2.1 Utilisation
The ekr CON 600 net controller enables networking with a cus-
tomer control system (e.g. PLC, machine control, etc.). The con-
nection of the controller to the control system is realized via an
interface module, which is factory integrated in the controller
housing.
This document describes the ekr CON 600 net controller version
with integrated Profibus interface module. You can identify this
version from the PROFIBUS lettering on the front of the housing
(see illustration).

The Profibus interface module allows to parameterize and re-
motely control the different web guiding functions as well as the
exchange of process data and status requests.
No additional devices are required for communication between
the web guiding controller and the customer control system.
