3. B ack off the vehicle, verify ramps
are s till sec ure, then proceed at
proper speed.
4. C are fully drive vehicle onto platform
or trailer. Use sufficient speed to
climb without spinning o r abruptly
accelerating. Avoid acc eleration
while on ramps to prevent ramps
movement.
5. If tra iler is inclined towards front,
simply le t vehicle roll in without ac-
celeration.
6. Onc e vehicle is climbed, put shift
lever to Park. Apply brake locking
mechanism (if equipped ).
When vehicle c annot move on its
own power, or in case overshooting
is a risk or if any dangerous condition
prevents for embarking on its own
power, proceed using a winch;

When vehicle cannot climb on its
own power, proceed as follows;
WARNING
Have the help of an assistant. One
person should be in vehicle to
have access to vehicle steering,
brakes and winch switch, while the
other person controls the environ-
ment and safety of the maneuver.
WARNING
Ensure the winch hook can be
safely attached to a proper anchor-
ing point. Use proper rigging.
NOTE: If vehicle can be started safel y,
let engine idle during winching to avoi d
draining the battery.
1. Pl ace shift lever to NEUTRAL ( N).
2. If the vehicle is equipped w ith a
winch, use the winch to roll the ve-
hicleontheplatform.
3. If the vehicle is not equippe d with a
winch, proceed as follows:
3.1 Attach stra p to lower front
bumper anc hor.
3.2 Attach the strap to the winch
cable of the towi ng veh icle.
3.3 Pul l the vehicle on the flatbed
trailer with the winch.
4. Put shift l ever to Park. Apply brake
locking mechanism (if equipped).

Never use the winch to secure the
vehicle during transport.

sides using a strap around the sus-
pension arm as close to the wheel
as possible.
3. A t front, sec ure the v ehicle on both
sides using a strap around the up-
per suspens ion arm as close t o the
wheel as possibl e and away from
the brake hose.
