MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE
Maintenan ce is very important for keeping y our vehicle in safe operating condition.
The vehicle shoul d be serviced as per the m a intenanc e s ch edule.
Proper maintenance is the owner’s res ponsib ility. A warra nt y cl ai m may be
denied if, among other things, the ow ner or operator c ause d the problem through
improper maintenance or use.
Perform periodic chec k s and fol low the maintenance schedule. The mainte-
nance schedule does not exempt the pre-ride inspection.
Verifying fault code s, as first ma intenance step, is a good practice and is highly rec-
ommended.
WARNING
Failure to properly maintain the vehicle according to the maintenance
schedule and procedures can make it unsafe to operate.
EPA Regulation - Canadian and USA Vehicles
A repair shop or person of the owner's choosing may maintain, replace, or
repair emission control devices and systems. The se instructions do not require
components or service by BRP or a uthorized Can-Am Off-Road dea lers.
Although an authorized Can-Am Off- Ro ad de aler has an in-depth technical knowl-
edge and tool s to service you r vehi cle, the emi ssio n-relate d warranty is not condi-
tioned on the use of a n authorized C an-Am Off-Road dealer or any othe r establish-
ment w ith which BR P has a com mercial relations hip.

For emission-related warra nty claims, B R P is limiting the diagnosis and repair
of emi s sion- related pa rts to the authorized Can-Am Off-Road dealers. For more

You must follow the instructions for fuel requirements in the fueling section of
this manual. Even if gas oli ne co nta ining gre ater than ten v olume percen t ethano l
is readily available, the US EPA issued a prohibition against the use of gasoli ne
containing g rea ter than 10 vol% ethanol that applies to this v ehicle. The use of
gasoline containing greater than 10 vol% ethanol with this engine may harm the
emission control system.
The following message appears in t he gauge after every 200 hours of operation, to
remind you of maintenance require m ents : MAINTENANCE REQUIRED. To erase
