The types of safety messages, what
they look like and how they are u se d in
this g uide are expl ained as follows:
The safety alert symbol indicates a
potential injury hazard.
WARNING
Indicates a potential hazard which,
if not avoided, could result in seri-
ous injury or death.
CAUTION Indicates a haz-
ardous situation which, if not
avoided, could result in minor o
r
moderate injury.
NO TICE
Indicates an instruction
which, if not followed, could result
in severely damaged vehi
cle com-
ponents or other property.

of a new vehicle with the vario us ve-
hicle co ntrols, maintenanc e and safe
operating instructions. It is i ndispens -
