US EPA EMISSION-RELATED WARRANTY
BRP warrants to the ultimate purchaser a nd ea ch subsequent purcha ser that this
new vehicle, including all parts of i ts exhaust emission control system an d its evap-
orative emission control sy stem, m eets two conditions:
1. I t is designe d, built, and equipped so it conforms at the time of sale to the ulti-
mate purcha s er with the requirements of 40 C FR 1051 and 40 CFR 1060.
2. It is free from defects in materials and workmans hip tha t may keep it from
meeting the requiremen ts of 40 C FR 1051 and 40 CFR 1060 .
Where a warrantable condition exists, BR P will repair or replace , as it elects, any
part or c om ponent with a defect in ma terials or workmanship that woul d increa se
the engine’s emissions of any regulated pollutant within the stated warranty
period at no cost to the owner, incl uding ex penses related to diagnosing a nd
repairing or r eplacing emission-related pa rts . All de fective parts replaced under
this warranty becom e the property of BRP.
For all emission-related warranty claims, BRP is limiting the diagnos is and repair of
emission -related parts to the authorized Can-Am dealers, unless for emergency re-
pairs as required by i tem 2 of the following list.
As a certifying manufac turer, BR P w ill not deny em ission-related warranty claims
based on a ny of the fol low ing:
1. Maintenance or other service BRP or BRP's authorized facilities performed.
2. Engine/equipment repa ir work tha t an operator performed to correct an unsafe,
em ergenc y condition a ttributabl e to BR P as long as the operator tries to restore
the eng ine/equipment to its proper configuration as soon as pos sible.
3. A ny action or inaction by the operator unrelated to the warranty claim.
4. Maintenance that was performed m ore frequently than BRP spe cify.
5. A ny thing that is BRP fa ult or re sponsibility.
6. The use of any f uel that is comm only av ailable where the equipment operates
unless BR P written maintena nc e instructions state tha t this fuel would harm
the equipment’s emission control system and op erators can readi ly find the
proper fuel. S ee maintenanc e inform a tion section and fuel requirements of
fueling section.
Emission-Rel ated Warranty P eriod
The emission-related warranty is valid for the following period whichever comes
first:

Components Covered
The emission -related warranty covers all c om ponents whose failure w ould in-
crease an engine’s emissions of any regulat ed pollutant, including the following

related to the following systems:
