Limited Applicab ility
As a certifying manufacturer, BR P may den y emission-related wa rranty claims
for failures that have be en caused by the owner’s or operator’s improper m a in-
tenance or use, by accidents for which the manufacturer has no respo nsibility,
or by a c ts of Go d. For e xample, an emiss ion-related warranty claim need not be
honore d for failures that hav e been directly c a used by the operator’s abus e of t he
engine/ equipment or th e opera tor’s us e of the engine/equipment in a ma nner for
which it w a s not designed and are not attributable to the manufactur er in any w a y.
