CAUTION Under rough trail
conditions or when crossing an ob-
stacle, the steering wheel could sud-
denly jerk on one side, causing hand
or wrist injuries if the thumbs are
rolled around the steering wheel.
The DPS (Dynamic Pow er Steering)
reduces the effort to turn the steering
wheel.
2) Acce le rator P eda l
The accelerator pedal is loc ated on the
right s ide of the bra k e peda l.
The accelerator p eda l controls th e en-
gine s peed.

To increase or maintain vehicle s peed,
press on t he accel erator pedal with
your right foot.
To de crease vehicle speed, relea
se the
accelerator peda l.
The accelerator p eda l is s pring
loaded
and should return to r est position (i dle)
when not pres sed.
NOTE: The accelerator peda l should
never be disassembled.
3) Brake Pedal
The brake pedal is located on the left
side of the accelerat
or pedal.
The brak e pedal func tion is to s low
down or stop the vehi
cle.

To decrease veh icle speed or to stop
vehicle, pres s down the brake pedal
with your right foot.
The brake ped al is spring loaded and
should return to rest pos ition whe n not
pressed.
4) Shift Lever
The shift lever is located o n the upper
console to the right of steering wheel.
The shift lever is us ed to c hange the
gearbox position.
