Battery Removal
Remove und er seat storage com part-
ment if equipped.
Remove battery cover by unscre wi ng
the two 1/ 4 turn fa s teners.

Disconne ct BLA CK (-) cabl e first then
RED (+) cable.
NO TICE
Always respect this order
for disassembly; disconnect BLACK
(-) cable first.
Remov e battery holder retaining
scre w(s).

Remove ba ttery holder.
Remove battery.
Battery Cleaning
Clean battery, battery casing and bat-
tery posts using a solution of baking
soda and wate r.
Remove corrosion from battery cable
terminals and battery posts using a
firm wire brush. B attery casing s houl d
be cle aned by soft brush and b aking
soda solution.
Battery Installation
Battery in stallation is the reverse of the
removal procedure.
NO TICE
Improper orientation of
the battery cables (reverse polarity)
will result in damage to the voltage
regulator.
CAUTION Always connect
RED (+) cable first then BLACK (-)
cable.
Fuses and Fusib le Links
Fuse Replacement
If a fuse is burnt, replace it by one of the
same rating.
NO TICE
Do not use a higher rated
fuse as this can cause severe dam-
age.
Fuse Box Location
The vehicle is equipped with multiple
fuse boxes. Several a re loca t ed inside
the front service center and an other
one under the right passenger seat,
near the battery.
Tw o fuse links inside the electric har-
ness c om plete the system protec tion.
An ad ditional 50A fuse to protect the
voltage regulator is located near the
battery.
To open front serv ice cover, pull on
front edges of service cover to u nlock
mechanism
