■ Developing Roller Engagement/Disengagement Control
Overview
DC Controller controls engagement/disengagement of the Developing Roller and the Photosensitive Drum in the Toner Cartridge.
Execution Condition/Timing
The Developing Roller is engaged or disengaged according to the status of the machine.

Print Engagement
Description
The Developing Roller is engaged with the Photosensitive Drum only at printing.
The Developing Roller is engaged only when needed to prevent deterioration of the Photosensitive Drum for ensuring its maximum
life.
Engagement/disengagement of the Developing Roller is controlled by the DC Controller which drives the Developer
Disengagement Solenoid (SL2) while driving the Main Motor (M2).
The DC Controller detects the current status using the Developer Disengagement Switch (SW1) and determines the state
(engagement or disengagement) of the Developing Roller according to the rotation amount of the Main Motor after the Developing
Disengagement Solenoid starts to be driven.
