8.4.1. Dual Mode Connections to a CLC
Dual Mode C1000 microturbines include a star communications topology for both MultiPac
communications (10Base-2 COAX) and User and Maintenance monitoring communications (RS-
232). Ethernet switches in the C1000 series controller provide a convenient connection point for
the Dual Mode CLC model. For multiple C1000’s (or inclusion of separate C200’s), the RS-485
MultiPac inverter sync connection can be extended through C1000 series controller terminals
TB1-44 through TB1-47 or TB1-48 through TB1-51. Figure 63 provides an example of the digital
communications connections for a Dual Mode CLC controlling two C1000S/C800S/C600S
microturbines.
