5.1.2. Mounting the Microturbine
The C1000S/C800S/C600S frame must contact the foundation only at locations shown in
Figure 14. Use the ISO 1161 corner castings to secure the frame to the foundation. Refer to the
C1000S, C800S, or C600S O&I Drawing (Table 1) for details.

Mounting considerations include:
Forklift slot access.
If installed outdoors, do not alter the enclosure or remove exterior fasteners because
rain will be able to enter the enclosure.
If installing accessories such as a heat recovery module to an outdoor unit, use properly
rated sealant or fittings to keep water out of the enclosure.
Vibration isolators are generally not required, as vibration transmission from the
microturbine to surrounding equipment is minimal.
If ground settling or earthquakes are possible, provisions should be made to relieve
stresses at all connection points — for example, electrical connections, fuel connections,
intake air ducting, and exhaust ducting.
When installed in high H
2
S environments, additional drainage may be required to
prevent the deposit of H
2
S on the microturbine enclosure.
