Winterfuel
Atlowtemperatures,obstructionsduetoparafnpre-
cipitationsmaygenerateinthefuelsystem,whichcan
causeengineanomalies.Whentheoutsidetemperature
dropsbelow0°C(32°F),itisnecessarytousewinter
fuel,whichcanbeuseduptoatemperatureof-15°C
(5°F)andwhichcanbepurchasedinllingstations
sincethebeginningofthecoldseason.Often,fuelwith
additives(Superdiesel)isavailable,anditcanbeused
approximatelyuptoatemperatureof-20°C(-4°F).

Attemperaturesbelow-15°C(5°F)or-20°C(-4°F),
itisnecessarytomixitwithoil.Thenecessarymix-
ingpercentagescanbeobtainedfromthediagramre-
portedheretotheside.
Incaseonlysummerfuelisavailableandtemperatureis
below0°C,fuelcanbemixedwithoilinthepercentages
reportedinthediagramanyway,inanycaseuptoamax-
imumof60%.

Fuelstorage
Prolongedstorageoffuelcanleadtotheaccumulationof
impuritiesandcondensationinthefuel.Enginetrouble
canoftenbetracedtothepresenceofwaterinthefuel.
Thestoragetankmustbeplacedoutsideandthetemper-
atureofthefuelshouldbekeptaslowaspossible.Drain
offwaterandimpuritiesregularly.
